Austin Melrose and Zach Patterson’s Umbrella Hospitality Group currently operates five concepts that they have carefully conceptualized and created over the years. They are known for their innovative restaurant design and award winning cocktail programs. The hospitality company has been nominated for the best high volume bar four times at Tales of the Cocktail. Their current venues include Melrose Umbrella Company (est. 2013),  LONO Hollywood (est. 2017), The Corner Door (est. 2017), Umbrella TaCO. (est. 2020) and ELLA Beverly Hills at The SIXTY Hotel (est. 2021). In addition to their elevated craft cocktail programs and food offerings they have developed a lifestyle brand via their cocktail and coffee “to go” concept, frequent offsite event programming as well as industry and corporate consulting work. 

Umbrella’s current management team have worked as operation directors, chefs, and event coordinators for several Los Angeles-based restaurant groups, creating both highly-individualized bar programs and chef-driven concepts. Some of the venues they’ve opened, operated and consulted on include: Bagatelle, Bestia, Redbird, Picca, Sotto, Rose Cafe, 7 Restaurant, Otium, Rock & Reilly’s, Pearl’s Rooftop, Bottega Louie, Umami Burger nationwide, and the beverage program at The James Hotel in Los Angeles prior to it being bought by 1 Hotels.
